Returns policy

At Surfsmith, we take pride in offering quality secondhand surfboards and expert repairs. We want you to be stoked with your purchase or repair, but if something’s not right, we’re here to help.

Returns – Secondhand Surfboards & Equipment

Due to the nature of secondhand goods, all sales are final unless the item is not as described or is faulty in a way that was not disclosed at the time of sale.

We strongly encourage customers to inspect all surfboards and equipment in-store prior to purchase to ensure satisfaction with the condition and suitability of the item.

You may be eligible for a return or exchange if:

  • The item is significantly different from its description or photos;
  • The item is faulty and this fault was not noted in the listing or at point of sale;
  • You contact us within 7 days of receiving your item.

To request a return, please email info@surfsmith.com.au with your order details and a description of the issue. Items must be returned in the same condition they were sold in.

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted.

Refunds

If your return is approved, we’ll refund the purchase amount to your original payment method. Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receiving the returned item.

Please note:

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item was faulty or misrepresented.

Surfboard Repairs

All repairs come with a 30-day workmanship guarantee. We encourage customers to inspect all completed repairs at the time of pickup to ensure you're happy with the result.

If you believe the repair hasn’t resolved the issue or a fault arises related to the workmanship, please contact us as soon as possible.

We’re committed to making it right. Bring your board in and we’ll assess the issue and either:

  • Re-do the repair at no extra charge, or
  • Offer a partial or full refund, depending on the circumstances.
